hi, nice to meet you.

Why do most bakeries have their “about” pages written in third person? We’re not doing that.

HELL YEAH was born out of frustration with the alternative diet/allergy friendly scene in Atlanta , Georgia. It started as an Instagram account with about ten posts, which led to a cake order taken over the phone in Ponce City Market, on the 2nd floor, during my lunch break. From there, all hell (yeah?) broke loose.

Within seven months, we were published in Atlanta Magazine, were named Best Bakery and Best Desserts in Atlanta by Creative Loafing (Reader’s Picks), raised over $33,000 dollars during our Kickstarter campaign, and sold out of Indie Craft Experience twice within 30 minutes (along with numerous other popups). So yeah, to say this has been crazy ride would be quite the understatement.

We are so privileged to be a part of this community, and to be able to feed the people in it. Thanks so much for your support.

what makes us different?

Inclusivity is at the heart of HYGF. It is reflected in what we offer, how we do business, and how we give back to our community.

Our kitchen is dedicated gluten free, but we won’t lead with that. Frankly, we’re a bit obsessed with making really delicious food–it’s just a happy accident that its gluten free (and often times, vegan). It would’ve been easy to start a conventional bakery, but it wouldn’t have been as satisfying. Why? We know what it feels like to feel excluded, and we don’t want that for you.

HYGF is a celebration of the offbeat or unconventional. It’s a celebration of putting wacky, unexpected twists on familiar things. It’s a celebration of local produce sourced from farmers that are also our neighbors. It is a vehicle through which we can do good in this world. It is a challenge to do better every day.

Gluten free doesn’t have to suck.
